Newton community members will vie for cool prizes and bragging rights as Newton Schools Foundation hosts its second annual Trivia Night on March 13 at the American Legion Nonantum Post 440. Proceeds from the event fund grants for teachers to bring innovative programs and educational approaches to students in the Newton Public Schools.

Last year more than 160 people formed teams of neighbors, coworkers, public officials, local organizations, and friends old and new to put their knowledge to the test in NSF’s first-ever Trivia Night. Money raised helped NSF fund 42 grants totaling more than $160,000 and reaching students across all of Newton’s schools last year.

This year’s event—led by James Marohn of Games with James and featuring a cash bar and food from local purveyors—promises to be even bigger. Again, it’s happening on Friday, March 13, from 7-10:30 p.m. American Legion Nonantum Post 440.
