Induction Cooking Demo with Tea & Melted Chocolate
April 15, 2026
Posted on

What’s the sweetest way to learn about induction cooking? Visit the Newton Free Library on Thursday, April 23 for an induction cooking demo with tea and melted chocolate! Dip into melted chocolate, and have a cup of tea to get a taste of how induction cooktops work. Learn how this cooking appliance avoids the emissions from gas stoves and allows for faster heating, precise temperature control, and increased energy efficiency. Stop by anytime between 2-3:30pm, and bring your questions and your sweet tooth!

Inspired to try out an induction cooktop yourself? You can borrow one from the Library's Library of Things collection! This program is in partnership between Green Newton, Mothers Out Front, the Newton Free Library, and the City of Newton.
