Join musicians Fabio Pirozzolo and Shelley Otis at the Newton Free Library on Monday, October 26 at 7pm for A Tour of Southern Italy Through Its Folk Songs. This musical tour of Southern Italy features tarantellas, canzonis, and serenades from Lazio, Campania, Puglia, Basilicata, Calabria, and Sicilia. The audience will be exposed to songs that are not well known in the U.S. but belong to the folk tradition of these regions.
