The Newton Free Library is pleased to host Newton North High School teacher Rob Greenfield for Assessing AI: A Discussion of Its Individual and Societal Impact. This interactive program, geared towards adults, will take place on Tuesday, October 13 at 7pm at the Library.

AI has been integrated into much of our lives, yet it can be difficult to assess in real time how much technology influences us and in what ways. This seminar will assess both AI’s individual and societal impact and generate awareness of the possible tradeoffs between AI’s benefits and its costs. We’ll also discuss methods and frameworks for assessing AI going forward as the technology becomes more powerful and integrated into daily life. Questions and discussion are welcome.
