Ward 1 School Committee seat.
This forum was recorded on Tuesday, September 2, prior to candidate Christine Gibson’s withdrawal from the Ward 1 School Committee race. Although Christine Gibson has withdrawn, her name will remain on the ballot. Accordingly, NewTV and the League of Women Voters are releasing this forum to provide voters with information regarding candidate Arrianna Proia’s positions. This forum has not been edited for content. The decision to air this forum does not serve as an endorsement by LWV Newton or NewTV for the remaining candidate.
