Meet Amelia - Our Newest Team Member!

We're excited to introduce Amelia Hoffman, our new Production Assistant here at NewTV! She will be assisting with some of our government meeting coverage, but her primary role will be working with our members on their productions, projects, and more!

Amelia comes to us with lots of experience in videography, media, and other community-focused roles. She is a graduate of Framingham State University, where she earned her B.A. in Communications and gained valuable experience as a videographer and editor for FSU's New Student & Family program.

After graduation, Amelia got her first taste of public media working with GBH as Canvass Director, focusing on fundraising for the organization. She continued her fundraising efforts as a Community Partnerships Coordinator at Cambridge Savings Bank. At the same time, Amelia worked as a freelance videographer for Cambridge Community Television (CCTV), one of our fellow Massachusetts Community Media centers.

Most recently, Amelia worked as a Production Assistant at Wayland Community Access Media (WayCAM), while simultaneously working as a part-time Programming & Communications Associate right here in Newton at Newton Community Pride. Not only is she familiar with what we do in Community Media, she has already become acquainted with members of the Newton community!
