Newton News: Crystal Lake Closed (August 1, 2012)

Crystal Lake is closed until further notice due to an algae bloom.   The visibility in the water has declined to less than 3ft. So there will be no swimming until further assessment is made by the State. The city will be monitoring the situation and will post changes on the city's website as soon as decisions have been made. Until then, the Gath Pool is open.
