League of Women Voters


At the end of October, the Newton chapter of the League of Women Voters will be holding a series of debates from the NewTV studios for contested races.

Candidates Forum


The League of Women Voters and NewTV produced a special Candidates Forum highlighting the six contested races for the Board of Aldermen and School Committee. Remember to vote in the Municipal election on Tuesday, November 8, 2011. The polls will be open from 7:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. Tune into the NewTV Government channel on election night to watch our LIVE results special beginning at 7:30 p.m.

Board of Aldermen Candidates


The Board of Aldermen consists of twenty four members, sixteen of which are elected at large, and eight of which are elected by a specific ward. All candidates were invited to partake in our NewTV forum, the following chose to participate:
