Animation Series: Intro to Flash Animation

NewTV is proud to offer four exciting new animation workshops taught by instructors from the award-winning studio, Clambake Animation!

Introduction to Adobe Flash Animation provides you with the basic knowledge of animating in Flash.  In this three-week course through hands-on projects in the classroom, you will experience different forms and techniques of Flash animation, including: basic principles of animation, animating in symbols, setting up an animated character and logo animation. This course will have a major emphasis on creating assets for games, and animating for television / film. You will learn through working in the class.  After completion you will be able to turn your ideas and storyboards into a real workable Flash animation.

Jennifer Kanis has over five years of professorial production experience in commercial, television and smartphone app creation. This includes creating an award winning App designed to cater to the visually impaired for Ananse Productions, working as an animator for the upcoming Adult Swim series Tight Bros, production coordination for large commercial clients and as Lead Animator for Season Two of Tom Snyder’s (Dr. Katz) Explosion Bus web series. She is very active in Boston’s art community. Over the past year alone she has had three shows featuring her work with one fast approaching at Boston's Fly Over the City.
