Members of the NewTV staff were asked about their favorite aspect of production. Here are their responses:
Andrew Eldridge, Co-Director of Original Programming: I’ve always enjoyed postproduction, but I feel as though I’ve been editing non-stop for the past few months so I welcome the pre-production and production days with open arms right now. I can’t wait to get back to either filming in the studio, or starting a new project in the field. I’m itching to get a new production off the ground, but we still have to complete our pilots in the works.
Angela Harrer, Co-Director of Original Programming: I love it all except for postproduction. Nothing is lonelier than being trapped in a chair wearing a pair of headphones for 8-12 hours a day for several days/weeks. I go a little nutty and start laughing and talking to the screen, as if the actors were in the room with me. It gets weird.
Eugene Foygelman, Production Coordinator: I definitely enjoy editing even though it can drive me crazy sometimes. It's fun putting everything together and figuring out the flow of the project.
Shelly Kamanitz, Director of Marketing and Creative Services: I like the start of a design project, when I have to create a concept for a show package and logo design, before the actual design production starts.
Katie Geiger, Director of Member Services: Pre-production and producing. I love organizing groups of people together and keeping things on schedule.
Jenn Adams, News Director: My favorite aspect of production is the interview. I learn something new everyday by talking with someone else about their passions, goals, accomplishments, reflections, insights, and the reason why they may be doing something.
